constellr’s second satellite: Scaling New Heights

Freiburg, 23^rd of May 2024- constellr’s 2^nd satellite is on the way and will be launched with the support of ESA’s ScaleUp INVEST.

A greatly significant step for constellr’s growth trajectory has been reached with the signature of a contract for commercial acceleration with the European Space Agency’s ScaleUp INVEST programme. This contracts marks an important milestone, in which ESA co-finances the launch of our second satellite. Together with ExoLaunch as our Launch broker, constellr is ready to take the next steps towards commercialisation.

With a focus on expanding our satellite constellation, the 2^nd satellite represents our commitment to amplifying revenue and advancing our mission of providing accurate temperature monitoring services to support global food security. Securing funding from the European Space Agency for the purchase and launch of satellite number 2 is a strategic move that accelerates our timeline, bringing us one step closer to achieving high temporal resolution and unlocking new market segments. This milestone not only strengthens our position in the Earth observation agricultural data space, but also propels us towards our vision of becoming a leading player in the industry.
